How Can I Process ?

Hello everyone. We are so grateful to have been incredibly blessed in 2014. Thank you to our family and friends for being such a joy and inspiration in our lives.  I am personally excited for growth and changes not only in my own life, but in yours as we all get a little older and hopefully a little wiser in 2015.
I remember as a kid I would look up to people who were much older than I was and just expected that they had all the answers. Well meaning as some were, that may not always have been the case but we all live different lives with different circumstances so no one could possibly have all the answers anyway.
What stood out for me, what I witnessed and remember so vividly when I was a kid was the vast consumption of alcohol as a crutch for some who were involved in WW2 because they didn’t know how to process the pain of their terrible experiences. They didn’t know where to find peace so they tried to numb their pain instead of dealing with it and healing. I felt great love and respect for them but I saw this with my own eyes and I still see the many negative effects alcohol has in so many lives. So what is the answer that can heal without harming ? How could I process my own pain efficiently without acting out or hurting sometimes in the extreme ? Where do I put my stuff without dependence on activities, other people or substances ?
What can we rely on to process pain in every circumstance without us or others paying a higher price ? The answer is Jesus. When Jesus died on that cross He died for you and I. In His death and resurrection Jesus paid for every sin, every offence, every negative thought and experience we will ever have so we could be free from pain and bondage and be reconciled to Him. This is the incredible love He has for us.
My prayer for you is to welcome Jesus into your heart, experience His great love for you, heal and live a life of peace and joy.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
